Apart from hiring a genealogist or other researcher to conduct a marriage record search, most of us have some experience in some extent while we had to do some detective work, on behalf of those who are under process of being married shortly. The detective works included spy like visit to the bride or grooms residence area in order to talk to the neighbors, visit his or her work place to meet the colleagues in order to find out any undisclosed matter with him or her. Sometime it becomes very embarrassing whenever the other party caught us. This is because the whole process ware conducted in such an unprofessional manner that mostly performed either by friends, colleagues or by any senior member of the family.
Although such practice now comes down largely, instead, the role has been taken over by the internet, and actively plying its part as an online detective for us.
