How To Locate People
My parents are in their fifties and did not even know what Facebook was. It seemed very challenging and complicated. There were too many faces and too many things to click on. But one day, I told mom that her old college friends were on Facebook and she could have a chance to get connected with her friends in a simple and easy manner. The next thing I know, Mom has more friends than I do on facebook and she does a pretty good job maintaining her page. She checks it from time to time.
Locating someone nowadays is pretty easy and fast. It gives you a different thrill inside when you see an old friend, a highschool classmate a college fraternity or sorority member, or ex-coworker in Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Friendster, or Reunion. Well speaking of “reunion”, it’s easier to plan out Highschool Reunion if you have those social networking sites. You just type in the name of that person in the search engine (like Facebook, Myspace, Friendster, Twitter, and etc….). You will also have the chance to chat with the people you are looking for, if they happen to be online.
Getting information about that person like for example their home address, phone number, e-mail address, and even their interest appears on their profile if you get to see their profiles on their accounts. You can also see the latest pictures they posted.
What you need to do is to register on the different social networking sites of your choice. Fill up the information it ask from you by writing your email address and by giving your backgrounds.
You can also use some old school ideas like checking out the name and address of the person you’re looking for in the white pages or phone book directory. Or by asking someone they know, if you get lucky enough then you can find a person you are looking for. But using these methods will eat more of your time and sometimes it’s so stressful.
Using the social networking sites is more accurate and up to date. You can just search for that person with just a click away, and be updated of their status.
So no more worries about locating your friend. Thanks to the power of internet, where you feel closer to the people you know even though you are a million miles away from each other.
